June 2017 Update

It's 2017 and we are back on the Kalix river at Jockfall, tremendously excited for what this year may bring. The Torne river has been struggling but the big fish are here in Jockfall with high and cold water perfect conditions to do battle with some true beasts of the Baltic.

It was not long before we connected with some serious monsters that once again absolutely annihilated us and our gear, but the conditions remained consistently favourable so it could not be long before another opportunity came. Finally we had a break through with a fish of 27lbs to Kris Murphy his first Baltic Salmon followed by another in the high teens and another tussle with submarine that never broke the surface!

Not long enough came the biggest fish of the trip to Kieran Conlon at 115cm and 35lbs! A personal best and a well deserved trophy on the 2nd visit in 2 years. A good number of fish in the low 20's and high teens rounded off a fantastic trip to Jockfall, after leaving news reports kept flying in of fish in the 30/40lbs region landed and lost. Jockfall for the season produced over 200 landed catches of which most fish broke the 20lbs+ mark, unbelievable, we are now counting the days to the 2018 season.
