June 2019 Update

The Torne river was free from ice very early this year with the break taking place at the start of May. This is usually a good sign for numbers of fish running the river through the season.

With plenty of water and cold temperatures in the Baltic Sea the river is an inviting place for some fresh fish to get moving early. Fishing started in Early June and the big fish were with us!

As the month progressed and water levels dropped and high temperatures greeted us, we were crying out for rain and a lift in the river to push some fresh fish through the system, thankfully our prayers were answered and high numbers of fish are now being tallied through the fish counter each day.

July and the rest of the season is looking very promising indeed!
